Last weekend 6 members of LUSC took part in the annual Lord Birkett Race at Ullswater sailing club in the Lake District. Sadly due to boats breaking on the Saturday and extreme weather cancelling the race on the Sunday (Gusting 55mph!) only Pippa got a result sailing her Lark with James Ruddiman from Coventry Uni Sailing Club. They came 130th out of 205! The weekend as a whole was good with plenty of bar time and not too many fires. The aim is to make this a regular thing for the club and to get more people along in future.
